Thoughts on memecoins as it relates to the election / if Trump wins, what that'll look like for memecoins both short and longer term since JD Vance has spoken against coins without utility?
Also, what are signs that it's time to sell a coin?

“But there’s no way to know what’s going to go viral!”
Anyone who is a decent content creator will tell you that that is simply not true.

As someone who has made several videos/memes for large brands that reached 1 million+ people organically, you're 100% correct. Sometimes you get surprised, but you often know what will be a hit.
The key to focus on emotion can't be stated enough. People don't do something unless they feel something.
Memecoins will just get bigger and bigger over the course of the cycle. Regulatory considerations around memes likely not going to be relevant until the bear market. Think memecoins will survive long-term as well.
Re: signs to sell, that prob needs its own post but there's a huge subjective component (what is the meme's potential for attention capture longer term) and some more analytical aspects (volume, market cap potential, market dynamics, etc)
will do a broader post for sizing. % of total portfolio is totally up to you. The smaller your portfolio the more % is probably gonna be used, but I think the min you prob want is like $10K so you can actually get a decent % of supply of coins and the max is prob like $100K (for Arena not Memefolio).
I traded memes mostly on BSC during the previous cycle. I built a fair amount of custom tools (I'm a programmer), and I was caught off guard by the memes moving to a non-EVM chain. Is it worthwhile to continue to play with BSC (or ETH) memecoins, or is it pretty much SOL or bust at this point?
I have not been on BSC for years. Cheems looks maybe interesting there but other than that haven't heard of a single coin worth buying. Eth Base Solana all relevant
Great post! It would be interesting for readers to send you some meme coins that are less known and you explain with your system for evaluating them why they may or may not work. 1 or 2 would probably provide a great example of your framework and be very educational
Doesn't make me feel anything, prob reliant on some level of support from Base eco for success. How's this going to get more attention? That's the question to answer here.
What is your take profit strat for memecoins?
Good topic for the next post

"You don’t need to take a ton of risk in terms of portfolio sizing due to the asymmetry involved" — this raised a few questions:
- what's your % of total portfolio for Arena and Memefolio?
- how do you size for new coins in Arena?

MARK and ZYN both mentioned and off their ATH’s by a large amount. Do with this info as you wish folks.
Great framework and great article. Cheers.
Thanks! Just examples to demonstrate the point tbh

Looks good to me, not sure of its market cap potential though so I haven't been able to get in.

Looks ok, I'm not great with these cartoon / animated ones. Maybe worth a tiny bag going into elections but would be out of it by then
